Residential Biolab Raided By FBI In Las Vegas Containing 1000+ Unknown Biological Agents
Updated
The FBI raided a biolab in a Las Vegas residence, which was also an Airbnb rental property that contained more than 1,000 vials of unknown biological agents. The property is connected to a 2023 California residential biolab with a Chinese national who has a “complex connection” to the Chinese Communist Party. Jia Bei Zhu has been in federal custody since the 2023 investigation of a Reedley, California, biolab that had a freezer labeled “Ebola” and samples labeled as malaria, hepatitis A and B, tuberculosis, HIV, COVID-19, and others. The Daily Caller reported on the Las Vegas home connection to Zhu in 2023, but there was no known action taken against the Las Vegas Airbnb property until an FBI SWAT raid occurred on January 31 after receiving a tip from the home’s cleaning lady.
One anonymous tip said the garage door to the Las Vegas home was always locked. Two people reportedly became “deathly ill” days after entering the garage and were unable to get out of bed. There were dead crickets in the house, and many people had become sick. One person reported that the garage smelled like an unclean hospital – foul and stale. Authorities say there is no threat to the public, and the samples are being removed from the home robotically.
FBI Director Kash Patel said the samples are being sent across the country for testing. There has been no reporting of any particular labels on the vials in the Las Vegas residence. The samples from the California home raided in 2023 were not tested by the CDC, so the substances were not verified.
Ori Soloman is the only person arrested as part of the Las Vegas raid, as he served as the property manager. He is being charged with disposing of and discharging hazardous waste, as well as charges for having six firearms, which violates the conditions of his visa. He was allegedly in frequent contact with Zhu, who is still in federal custody. The property is owned by David Destiny Discovery LLC, which is registered to David He, a known alias of Zhu.
Xiuqin Yao is listed as a managing member of the LLC and was also mentioned during the 2023 investigation as the president of Prestige Biotech. Zhu, along with his romantic and business partner, Zhaoyan Wang, was charged with unlawfully importing COVID-19 test kits from China and making over $1.7 million from fraudulently selling them as made in the U.S. and falsely claiming they were certified by the CDC.
Wang reportedly fled to China when her husband, Zhu, was investigated by federal authorities in 2023. Police believe she has access to cameras monitoring the Las Vegas home.
Michael Lucci, CEO and Founder of State Armour, explains that both the Reedley residential lab and the Las Vegas residential lab are located close to military bases. The Las Vegas property is 6.6 miles away from Nellis Air Force Base on Google Maps. Lucci’s company was founded to provide solutions to “help states enact solutions to global security threats” amidst “unprecedented security threats.”
“The Airbnb attached to the CCP disease lab isn’t incidental, it’s the point,” Lucci explained. “How do you cripple an Air Force base & catalyze a nationwide outbreak in one stroke? You seed diseases into Vegas tourists around Nellis AFB. Hybrid war with CCP characteristics.”
Zhu reportedly owns another home in Clovis, CA, that is less than 10 miles from an Air Force base on the grounds of the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
“The CCP has been operating covertly in America for years, including with dangerous biolabs,” Director Patel said. “Other leaders chose to ignore the problem, but under President Trump’s leadership, this FBI is dismantling these networks all across the country.”
This news comes after recent reports of a safety breach at Rocky Mountain Labs involving Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) and the creation of domestic tick colonies in the United States to study the foreign virus, which has never been detected on US soil. An incident report dated April 4 of last year at Fort Detrick said a hole in a hazmat suit at the maximum-containment lab was intentionally made, but it was never determined who was responsible.
The HighWire has reported about suspected lab leaks and continued US research on highly pathogenic diseases, including statements from Biosafety experts who are concerned about Bioweapons research and ongoing safety concerns with this dangerous research. The latest revelation is a Las Vegas residential biolab with an Israeli immigrant manager and a Chinese immigrant owner near a military base in a tourist area. The Daily Caller reported on the home and its connection to Zhu in 2023, but no action was taken until last week.
Lucci provided several additional examples of Chinese nationals and CCP-linked companies who have purchased land near US domestic military bases. The push for green energy has also brought in CCP companies looking to build battery plants near military installations, a concern of the Select Subcommittee on the CCP.
The investigation into the Las Vegas residence and the individuals involved is still underway, and the samples are currently being tested at the National Bioforensic Analysis Center in Maryland. No timeline has been set for the results of the 1000+ samples that were sent for testing.
