Save Our Children: Medical Professionals Condemn Flawed Gender-Affirming Care
Updated
As the war against our children intensifies, the number of children dealing with gender dysphoria is off the charts. What is gender dysphoria? Dr. Jill Simons, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians, remarked this is a “catch-all” phrase that refers to a person who is uncomfortable with their biological sex. Undoubtedly, social media massively contributes to the problem, but the underlying issue for those suffering from gender dysphoria is mental health. Specifically, this can include anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, abuse, or they may even suffer from autism. In short, these children seek answers as to why they feel the way they do and long for a group they can fit into. More often than not, this leads them on a dangerous and redundant road of puberty blockers and other insane treatments that will ultimately leave them more depressed and confused. And on top of that, they will often be rendered infertile.
Enough is enough. Finally, a myriad of experts are putting their foot down. A collaboration of leading pediatricians, doctors, and medical groups is demanding a halt to the unbelievably harmful protocols being promoted for children and adolescents who express discomfort with their biological sex. While social media hugely contributes to gender dysphoria, the underlying cause is more complicated. Studies show that genetics, androgen exposure, brain connectivity, history of trauma, parents with psychological disorders, and being raised by less than two parents are associated with gender dysphoria. Like a covert plague in schools across America, the condition most often arises in the early teenage years but can also present earlier or later and usually exists alongside a diagnosis of anxiety and depression. Notably, the coalition of experts all agree that the current perverse grooming being thrust upon confused children—specifically the mutilating gender surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones—is putting them in serious harm.
In making their demand, the noble professionals rising up to preserve our children have signed an extensively referenced declaration authored by the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) called the Doctors Protecting Children Declaration. The signatories immediately call on prominent American medical institutions to halt the destructive protocols promoted for children and adolescents who voice discomfort with their biological sex. Specifically, the Declaration calls on “the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society, the Pediatric Endocrine Society, the American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to adhere to evidence-based research and utilize comprehensive evaluations and therapies for youth with gender dysphoria.” At the June 6 press conference introducing the Declaration, Dr. Erika LeBaron, a board-certified family medicine physician and President-elect of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), remarked:
“Founded in 1943, AAPS is a national professional organization that represents independent physicians from every state and virtually all specialties who are devoted to the practice of medicine in the tradition of Hippocrates. Unfortunately, the protocols currently being pushed on children and adolescents violate the fundamental precepts of Hippocratic medicine, which are to “prescribe regimen for the good of patients” and “do no harm.”
That is why it is my honor to be here today to express the utmost support of AAPS to this coalition and its Declaration to protect children. It is past time for our profession to end the harm being done and instead provide care to children that is both rooted in science and principles of medical ethics that put patients, not political ideology, first. Thank you for the opportunity to be here today to stand with my colleagues dedicated to this crucial mission.”
Fortunately, despite the merciless plan to damage the children of our future, numerous states have enacted legislation protecting minors from transgender interventions. As of May 2024, twenty-five states have passed laws protecting children from this disgusting form of child abuse. The majority of the laws protect minors from the dangers of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and transgender surgeries. As reported by Biological Integrity, a website launched last year by ACPeds as a reliable medical resource on gender dysphoria, a few states have more limited regulations. In six states, judges have temporarily or permanently blocked the protective laws, and in one state, the attorney general has refused to enforce the law. Still, the movement is not going away.
As the movement grows, we must recognize the many ways our children are being exploited. They are pawns in a battle of good versus evil, after all. It is not only in schools promoting and celebrating transgender behavior and encouraging kids to question their gender or social media planting seeds and making kids feel inadequate while our current government destroys the family unit. Yes, that is bad enough. But it gets worse.
Aligned with the agenda of the Biden administration, Biological Integrity reported last month on a sophisticated, nationwide “accreditation” campaign underway by the National Children’s Alliance (NCA) that is covertly building a “gender-affirming” monopoly over official child abuse proceedings managed by Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) in every single state in the country. Yet, NCA’s “gender-affirming” treatment model fails to meet even the basic standards of having evidence to support its position. Despite this, NCA Executive Director Teresa Hulzar insists that “[d]enying trans children the right to determine their own identity kills them.” What? These are some of the immoral people, and they’ve infiltrated everywhere that the Declaration is determined to stop. Biological Integrity noted:
“It is no accident that NCA’s push for control over accreditation in states is mirrored at the federal level by the Biden administration’s new LGBT-affirming “certification” rule for prospective foster and adoptive parents. The Biden rule stands to devastate the foster system, which relies heavily on reality-affirming families of faith.
Both the NCA and the Biden “accreditation” processes put vulnerable children at risk from misguided personnel convinced that “misgendering” is abuse. Children have been wrongfully removed from loving families, while children already in state care have been denied foster and adoptive homes, facing harm from state-sanctioned medical transition instead.
States must act not only to prevent reality-denying “accreditation” monopolies but by codifying in law the most basic of truths: It is not “abuse” to raise a girl as a girl or a boy as a boy.”
Indeed, it is NOT abuse to raise a girl as a girl or a boy as a boy. In a nation, and to a larger extent world, flooded with chemicals, poisoned with microplastics, endocrine disruptors, ultra-processed foods, and a long list of other toxins, saturated with the manufactured and manipulative world of social media, riddled with government leaders set on destroying the family unit and breaking the foundation upon which our freedom sits, the cruel and vicious attack on the hearts, minds, and souls of children must be stopped.
Thus, actions like the Doctors Protecting Children Declaration, which can be signed here, deserve repeated awareness. And with that awareness, we gain the collective strength to nurture and heal our children by focusing on their mental health. After all, the immature, often impulsive nature of the adolescent brain makes kids an easy target for the evil that is child abuse, including those pushing gender dysphoria. It also makes informed consent on their behalf impossible—especially for something as serious as an emotionally laden decision with life-long consequences. In a nutshell, firstly, the Declaration recognizes:
“Most children and adolescents whose thoughts and feelings do not align with their biological sex will resolve those mental incongruencies after experiencing the normal developmental process of puberty.”
