The People are Ready

For those who may not know me, I am best known as a political journalist. My audience mainly consists of those who have grown tired of the corruption and are taking a more active role on the political side. However, in my career, I have ALWAYS focused on health, big pharma, the dangers of vaccines, etc. There wasn’t always a captive audience. As many readers at The Highwire may know, often—especially in the recent past—when you were to try to educate about these things, you’d be met with scorn, labels, and ridicule. That is changing.
This column is a little different, as I typically focus on facts and data, but I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you what I am experiencing as of late, given my tenure as both an activist and a journalist over the past 20 years.
In January of this year, my husband and I decided we were going to place a focus on wellness. Not the kind of wellness big medicine tries to push, but true wellness. My husband was diagnosed with MS about 9 years ago and is overweight. My husband also, believe it or not, is a “normal” American; he wasn’t politically active like me, focused mainly on sports and video games and fish-keeping as hobbies, and generally stayed out of the fray. Then, COVID hit. He watched as I reported for UncoverDC about the travesty that was the pandemic, and like many Americans, learned a LOT about medicine, corporate medicine, and what worked and what didn’t.
He had refused pharmaceutical intervention for his MS, instead choosing to treat it with a series of vitamins and nutraceuticals. Thank God that had worked to keep it at bay. But as he did more research because of the abject corruption he saw during COVID, he realized there was a LOT more to the story we weren’t being told. And so our journey began. The other day, I posted on “X” about a huge milestone he had just reached.
🎉🎉This past week, my husband hit a major milestone. He started keto in January and after a TON of research converted to full carnivore a short time later. As of today, he’s lost 105 lbs. He “has” MS and I put that in quotes because scans have shown his lesions have “shrunk” and…

My husband decided to go full carnivore back in early January. What has happened to him since is nothing short of a miracle. Obviously, we aren’t doctors, and our experience is ours alone, but the transformation has been absolutely incredible. Through lifestyle changes in diet and nutrition, my husband’s experience has been a reversal of chronic depression, and the healing of some lesions on his cervical spine that “doctors” refuse to admit could be…healing.
But that isn’t what this column is about, as amazing of a column as it would be. The column is about the RESPONSE to my post. Hundreds and hundreds of people have commented not only about their experiences with different wellness programs, including Keto and Carnivore but also a MASSIVE amount of questions from people interested in making themselves healthy by focusing on what they put into their body, not placing a Band-Aid over their symptoms with a prescription. What does that mean?
That means that we in the health community, who have been working for decades to get people to look past the RX to the basics, have made amazing strides and that the general population is more than ready to learn and grow and understand the horror that is big medicine and big pharma. They are also taking an enormous interest in NATURAL health, the way it was intended.
If my audience of largely political, more mainstream America is interested in these topics enough to take the time to share their stories and ask important questions, we can certainly extrapolate that out to the greater populace. I was absolutely blown away. What started as a quick “Congrats” to my husband for his amazing accomplishment thus far became an uplifting and rewarding thread of community, kindness, and “newbies” intent and interest in taking their health into their own hands.
We cannot let this opportunity pass us by, and I don’t intend to. Imagine the good we can do as a society if we are healthy in body, mind, and spirit. As often as we talk about the absolute horrors of the COVID crisis—horrors we will continue to feel the effects of for a long, long time to come—there were also silver linings. This was one of them. Awareness. The disappearance of apathy when it comes to health. The importance of vitamins and minerals and sun and diet, etc. In conversation and in podcasts, I often point out that it was nutraceutical intervention that worked best in combatting COVID. Ivermectin is derived from nature. Hydroxychloroquine, the same. And now, the protocol released by Dr. McCullough for potential vaccine detoxification—a natural remedy. Think about it—how many people do you know that before 2019 even thought about their vitamin D levels, let alone got them checked??
We are at a crucial point in our journey. If we can continue to cross boundaries, educate, inform, and love, we can absolutely affect the change we want to see in the world.
In a sea of negative, there is absolutely positive. I implore you to be a part of this growing movement and join hands as we work to build a healthy, happy, and fulfilling future.
