ANTIDEPRESSANTS AND MASS SHOOTINGS: THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
Comments
Despite findings of increased suicide risks and homicidal ideation linked to antidepressants, the widely used drugs have been spared from the discussions around mass shootings. Is it time we reevaluate the national conversation along with the real history surrounding this class of drugs?

Don’t take those “depression” “seretonin chemical imbalance” crap. Our daughter, now an adult was prescribed by a psychologist as a teen – when her behavior became unstable, I called the psych who prescribed this stuff and for two years when I contacted them, I was told I was prevented to discuss this because of the HIPAA laws. Finally when she committed a small crime – stole my credit card the security camera caught her. and with the threat of having her arrested – we went to visit the “publically funded psych” and when she started rattling on about seretonin – I informed her that it was a theory – NOT truth, then she blamed my daughter for taking the SSRI. I spoke back loudly, You are the one who prescribed them. I heard later on that she retired. Our grandson was “diagnosed” with ADHD by his second grade teacher and was put on Ritalin until we noticed he stopped growing. Thank you for bringing up this topic.
It is seldomly mentioned, but doing a cold-turkey from these medicine is the major cause of mental melt-down
