Read the real SDS (Safety Data Sheet) to Sodium Fluoride. It says right there that the chemical is a “poison” and causes all kinds of health issue, including death. What happened to Informed Consent? I don’t want to ingest this drug/chemical.
I remember we were actually told about fluoride when I was in school. The story went that some study found that a community that was getting its water from wells that had high fluoride content had lower tooth decay. It mentioned that these people had discolored (brownish) teeth from the fluoride. Based on that, we added it to our water, and toothpaste.
I like what the guest said about the rationale. Aluminum producers found an opportunity, because rather than throwing away a waste product, they could make money from it. This practice in itself is not bad. Lots of material producers find constructive, healthy uses for their waste products (which they sell). It’s just that in this case, it may not be a waste product we want to ingest.
