CDC Fails to Provide Evidence That DNA Integration is “Biologically Impossible” with mRNA Vaccines
Updated
The CDC could not provide any evidence or proof to support its statement that “COVID-19 vaccines do not change or interact with your DNA in any way.” This claim is made on the CDC page “Bust Myths and Learn The Facts About COVID-19 Vaccines.” The Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) issued FOIA requests to obtain any data, studies, or information that was used to reach that conclusion.
In December 2023, CDC responded, “Subject matter experts have informed us that it is not biologically possible for the vaccines to change or interact with an individual’s DNA, but nevertheless conducted a search for records. Neither the National Center for Emerging and Infectious Diseases, nor the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases located records.”
ICAN issued another FOIA request asking for the names of the “subject matter experts” that determined “COVID-19 vaccines do not change or interact with your DNA in any way.” CDC sent completely redacted pages in response to the new FOIA request, leading to a year-long legal battle before finally receiving the names.
CDC’s response showed two subject matter experts, Dr. John Su of the Immunization Safety Office (ISO) and Kierra Ross. The form filled out by Dr. Su shows he conducted a one-hour search and concluded, “Documents requested involve demonstration of molecular and/or atomic forces that are beyond the scope of ISO to document. Referral to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) would be a viable option.”
Dr. Su couldn’t provide any documents, and he said the information was outside of ISO’s scope and did not claim that this was biologically impossible. Ross is a public health analyst at LSI (Logistics Systems Incorporated) said to support the CDC, and has a master’s in public health. LSI website states, “We are an Information Technology and Logistics company best known for excellence in Enterprise IT, Cybersecurity, Logistics Systems, and Business Solutions for the Federal Government.”
Ross wrote in her disclosure form, “This request is biologically impossible.” No sources were provided, but she conducted a 10-minute “outlook and drive search for “COVID-19 vaccine” and “host DNA interactions” and “found no records.”
The CDC is the “nation’s leading science-based, data-driven service organization that protects the public health.” Still, the agency has made factual claims on its website without providing supportive evidence. Fulfilling ICAN’s FOIA request reveals that the agency has no scientific data to support this claim.
The HighWire reported last year about Dr. Phillip Buckhaults’ research and Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo’s call for a halt to the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines due to concerns about DNA integration.
In a 2022 study titled “Intracellular Reverse Transcription of Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine BNT162b2 in Vitro in Human Liver Cell Line,” the human liver cells in the study were exposed to the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 mRNA vaccine for this in vitro lab study. The authors conclude, “Our study is the first in vitro study on the effect of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine BNT162b2 on human liver cell line. We present evidence on fast entry of BNT162b2 into the cells and subsequent intracellular reverse transcription of BNT162b2 mRNA into DNA.”
Ladapo, in his appearance on The HighWire, said, “With these mRNA vaccines, you’ve basically got a passport into human cells. So, whereas in the past, DNA would have a hard time ever getting into a cell, let alone getting into the nucleus of the cell, now you have these lipid nanoparticles that everyone is very excited about with the mRNA vaccines, that they carry mRNA in, but they almost certainly also carry DNA into the cells. So, it completely changes the risk analysis. And this risk, however low it may be, is one that the FDA has acknowledged in the past, and somehow they think that they can get away with not assessing this time, and it’s totally not gonna happen.”
The FDA guidance that Ladapo refers to states, “DNA integration could theoretically impact a human’s oncogenes, the genes that can transform a healthy cell into a cancerous one.” That possibility is confirmed by the preprint study published in January.
A study titled “The SV40 virus enhancer functions as a somatic hypermutation-targeting element with potential oncogenic activity” published in December states, “Our study reveals the first viral enhancer exhibiting strong SHM-targeting properties and demonstrates that this activity can introduce LT truncating mutations which could play a role in SV40-induced tumorigenesis in various cell types. The significance of the model in which SV40 enhancer contributes to human malignancies via SHM in vivo remains to be demonstrated.”
The CDC website is currently “being modified to comply with President Trump’s Executive Orders.” This specifically refers to the order Trump signed that calls for a change in guidance regarding “gender-affirming care” which he calls “surgical and chemical castration” for minors. The COVID-19 myth page continues to claim that the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines do not “interact with your DNA in any way.”
CDC’s assertion without evidence echoes the agency’s statement, “Vaccine ingredients do not cause autism.” The only evidence the CDC provides for this claim are studies regarding thimerosal, which is only a single vaccine ingredient that isn’t present in all vaccines.
Attorney Aaron Siri deposed the “Godmother of Vaccines,” Kathryn Edwards, in which she admits that vaccine studies are not designed to determine whether they cause autism. Virologist Paul Offit, a prominent figure in the industry, also is on video stating that “you can never really say MMR doesn’t cause autism, but frankly when you get in front of the media, you better get used to saying it.
