After 40 Years of Ignored Mandates, America’s Vaccine-Safety Reckoning Has Begun

Several moving parts have now converged, showing evidence of pressure points surrounding vaccine safety. Acknowledgment of longstanding medical and scientific issues, in addition to furthering justice and assistance to those already harmed by these liability-free public health interventions, is the focus.
A quick history lesson to frame our present moment.
A statutory duty in the notorious National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 directed the Secretary of HHS to:
“…promote the development of childhood vaccines that result in fewer and less serious adverse reactions…”
“…make or assure improvements in, and otherwise use the authorities of the Secretary with respect to…warning…field surveillance, adverse reaction reporting…and research on vaccines, in order to reduce the risks of adverse reactions to vaccines.”
The act also required biennial reports to Congress beginning in 1989 as the legislative source for a continuing government duty to conduct and improve vaccine-safety research after 1986.
These actions were never done, as attorney Aaron Siri testified to last year.
Several days ago Science broke the news of a long-awaited vaccine safety initiative writing:
“In an internal meeting last week, officials at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) discussed plans for a new research center on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland, that could start up in mid-October, Science has learned.”
The project was originally laid out in the White House’s 2025 MAHA report which stated:
“NIH will investigate vaccine injuries with improved data collection and analysis, including through a new vaccine injury research program at the NIH Clinical Center that may expand to centers around the country.”
The agency also plans to fund outside researchers to study adverse effects of vaccines, piggybacking off existing studies of people with vaccine-related illnesses writes Science.
No Big Pharma money seems like a good start.
Meanwhile, HHS Secretary Kennedy announced the intention to create a vaccine injury table for Covid shot harms. The idea would be to allow for easier compensation for those harmed by the shot who seek remedy through the current, highly adversarial CICP program which has turned away over 98% of petitioners to date – a national tragedy.
The administrative processes for this move could take well over a year yet it is a data point in a growing line of movement away from a ‘do nothing’ status quo with real consequences.
A multi-pronged, final plea to Kennedy is now underway by lawyers at the Informed Consent Action Network and the non-profit React19 to pressure the health secretary to reexamine those CICP petitions/cases which have been denied by the ‘black hole’ system – a final effort at assistance for this group of people.
America’s public health black eye continues to be the broken vaccine ‘safety’ monitoring systems.
Following up on exclusive internal emails and testimony from Sen. Ron Johnson, the BMJ recently ran the headline US officials embraced an algorithm for detecting signals of harm from mRNA covid-19 vaccines that they knew was broken and suppressed efforts to fix it.
The country flew blind and had no idea, during the Covid shot’s rollout to present, how many people suffered serious adverse effects.
Officials punished those who spoke up and a conspiracy of silence allowed harm to the American people to compound.
Alongside this knowledge, the new NIH vaccine safety initiative is a great start to a raging inferno of concern regarding Covid vaccine harms to the American population. The shots are still being ‘recommended’ while the monitoring systems are effectively broken.
The automated system is a conveyer belt of dysfunction that must be halted.
Outside official government efforts, researchers are attempting to build on the body of vaccine safety science.
MIT researcher Retsef Levi, currently frozen out of his CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices position alongside his colleagues due to an activist judge’s order, has been busy in this effort.
His recent paper looked at the CDC’s V-SAFE Covid vaccine reporting system and concluded:
“Close to 1% of V-SAFE enrollees explicitly reported on a long-term disability to work or perform normal daily activities, hospitalization or severe and debilitating adverse events, which they attributed to vaccination.”
Levi’s study submission to the leading medical journal on the subject rejected the study for peer-review without reason.
Despite the attempts at journal gatekeeping, the scientific literature is full of evidence showing potential harms and mechanisms of action from the due to the Covid shot.
Kennedy and Americans are fighting a two-front war on vaccine safety battling for improvements in safety and monitoring within both the recommended childhood schedule and the fast-tracked Covid shot.
The now monthly moves showing a tug-of-war between industry and their influenced politicians on one side and the aware public and Kennedy on the other tells the story of a fight that appears to be erupting into the general consciousness as elections are around the corner.
The fight for inches now may be deciding the momentum of the future of vaccine safety in America.
