Dr. Aseem Malhotra, British cardiologist and Chief Medical Advisor of MAHA Action, has told the Daily Beast that the Trump Administration “will move to pull” the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines from the market within months. Dr. Malhotra shared The Daily Beast article on Monday along with three fist emojis.

“It could [happen] in a number of stages, including learning more about the data,” Malhotra told the Daily Beast. “But given the increased talk of vaccine injuries in the past few weeks among the administration, it could also come with one clean decision.”

The HighWire reported last Friday about a new COVID-19 vaccine working group led by ACIP member Retsef Levi, along with ACIP colleagues Dr. Robert Malone and Dr. James Pagano. The working group will investigate vaccine injuries caused by the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. This comes as the administration has replaced ACIP members, placed more restrictions upon COVID-19 vaccine approvals, and removed recommendations for healthy children.

Dr. Malhotra also shared a post by Edward Szall, producer for Died Suddenly, who said, “This would be the greatest act of the Trump administration by far. I pray they follow through.”

Dr. Malhotra told The Daily Beast that many people close to Kennedy “cannot understand” the continued prescription of COVID-19 vaccines. The CDC page about COVID-19 vaccines was last updated on June 6 and states it is especially important to get the updated vaccine for women who are pregnant, breast feeding, trying to become pregnant, or might become pregnant in the future. The HighWire has reported about miscarriages and stillbirths within the V-safe data that was obtained in a lawsuit by the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN).

The CDC page has a header stating “COVID-19 vaccine recommendations have recently been updated for some populations. This page will be updated to align with the updated immunization schedule.” Secretary Kennedy announced that the CDC would no longer recommend the COVID-19 vaccine to healthy pregnant women and healthy children in a May statement alongside NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya and FDA Commissioner Marty Makary. Despite this, the recommendation page has not yet been updated to reflect this change.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced in July that it would continue recommending the COVID-19 vaccine for everyone over 6 months of age, including pregnant women, despite the change in federal recommendations. MDHHS said it is aligning with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American College of Obstetricians. Both groups have received criticism for receiving funding from pharmaceutical companies, indicating a conflict of interest when it comes to their vaccine recommendations.

“There is strong evidence that supports COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy and for pediatric patients,” said Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian, chief medical executive for the state of Michigan. Bagdasarian is a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), which partners with Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and other large pharmaceutical corporations.

Secretary Kennedy criticized AAP for not disclosing its “corporate entanglements” and conflicts of interest, while sharing a page where AAP thanks its top corporate donors of Pfizer, Moderna, Merck, and Sanofi. Kennedy said, “These four companies make virtually every vaccine on the CDC-recommended childhood vaccine schedule. AAP is angry that CDC has eliminated corporate influence in decisions over vaccine recommendations and returned CDC to gold-standard science and evidence-based medicine, laser-focused on children’s health.”

The latest report from the Daily Beast and statements from Dr. Malhotra indicate President Donald Trump may be reversing course on previous positions he has had regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and Operation Warp Speed.

President Trump praised Operation Warp Speed as the “single greatest mobilization in US history,” which brought the COVID-19 vaccines to market by the end of 2020. President Trump also said the COVID-19 vaccines are “one of the greatest achievements of mankind” in an interview with Candace Owens in December 2021.

Dr. Malhotra told The Daily Beast, “I think [Trump will] get it, because it’s in his interest to. This information is only going in one direction, and there’s something really terribly wrong with the system. I think once [he] understands the situation… that will encourage him to act to change the system. He’s in a position to fix it. He can create a lasting legacy by doing so.”

Earlier this month, Dr. Malhotra wrote, “Any medical scientist that doesn’t openly accept the COVID mRNA ‘vaccine’ has done significantly more harm than good is either ignorant, incompetent, wilfully blind, financially conflicted, a coward, or lacks a conscience. PLEASE educate your friends, your family, and your doctor.”

Others have criticized the Trump administration and Secretary Kennedy following the Daily Beast report. Infectious Disease Doctor Neil Stone wrote, “One of the greatest achievements of modern medicine is to be pulled because of political nonsense, self-defeating stupidity.”

Dr. Paul Offit, who has been repeatedly criticized for conflicts of interest with Merck while simultaneously working as a member of the ACIP advisory board, said Kennedy picked on the “wrong vaccine” because the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are “remarkably safe.”Offit pointed to myocarditis as the main issue, but called it a short-lived issue that was a small price to pay.

Secretary Kennedy and other health officials in the administration have promised to transform the federal health agencies to make determinations based upon gold standard science rather than allowing corporations to influence recommendations. In addition to recommendation changes and the new COVID-19 vaccine working group, chaired by Retsef Levi, the administration has changed the requirements for manufacturers to include saline placebo studies.
