    Sadly, this New! Improved! comments platform is a disaster; the cheesy “chat”-style narrow window format is user/reader unfriendly– cumbersome to read and scroll. It’s more of a comments dump, or waste pipe, and the proof is that it’s filling up with super-trolls, like fatbergs clogging a sewer main.

    Even worse, HW staff is apparently oblivious or indifferent to the platform’s egregious flaws; there was a lot of bragging and hype about the supposed site upgrade, but as far as I can tell, HW discourages feedback and constructive criticism.

    I don’t expect it to happen, but HW needs to restore the old platform or an equivalent that’s easier to read, post, and navigate. Too bad Del and his staff forgot or ignored the wise old saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

    1. THE AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL REPORTS: COVID-19 AND CARE HOMES.

      The report on the United Kingdom. A passage from the report:

      Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on older persons living in care homes in England. 28,186 “excess deaths” were recorded in care homes in England between 2 March and 12 June, with over 18,500 care home residents confirmed to have died with Covid-19 during this period. UK government decisions and failures resulted in violations of the human rights of people living in care homes, notably the right to life, to health and to non-discrimination. From discharging 25,000 patients, including those infected, into care homes; to denying care homes residents admission to hospital and imposing “do not attempt resuscitation” orders on them without due process, to failing to provide PPE (personal protective equipment) and testing to care homes. Older persons living in care homes were abandoned to die.

      I guess; “people in care homes had their right to life violated”, sounds better than; “people in care homes were murdered,” but it is less accurate.

      THE ELDERLY PEOPLE IN CARE HOMES WERE MURDERED.

      1. Read it again, he wasn’t talking about the community page. Also, the community page has serious problems that need to be fixed and I’m not using it anymore. Content I spend hours on being deleted without a trace and without notifying me is completely unacceptable. Users can do that to each other! It’s worse than Reddit. (But it’s not worse than TheDonald.win believe it or not!) Yeah, that might be normal, but now often is normal correct or actual best practice? Social media IAPs need moderation transparency just as badly as vaccines need safety studies.

        1. Del and his cohorts seem to be of the mind that if they can get part of their team to censor you on their own accord, then it’s not the Haywire that’s censoring you, it’s just one of their minions who did it.

          GAB is the same way, they won’t censor you per say, but for $35? or $75? (for your own “group”) you can censor people, all day long, no big deal. The “CEO” of GAB is actually just pimping the first amendment. Give him the money and you can f^ck people’s rights all day long.

          Del has destroyed any credibility he had in my eyes and I’m sorry to have to admit that. He’s on par with Oprah now in my eyes, on both style and moral character.

    1. Back when coin op arcade video games were a thing, you could only enter three letters into a leader board or high score. I just randomly whacked the joystick and hit the button the first time I had to, and it went over three, one more, then down a row: “DEL” was it. 30 years later, I found out it was someone’s real name.

      1. I learned what a troll was back in about 2006 on YouTube videos about 9/11. They viciously attack people for no other reason than shooting holes in the government conspiracy theory about 19 hijackers with box cutters.

        I can see that you have no idea what a troll is, you just like to throw that word around to discredit people you don’t agree with.

        Most “trolls” are easy to spot, just ask them what they think happened on 9/11.

  5. There is one island from which humans have taken off to visit another world. It’s in Brevard County and is named after the last speaker in this segment 😉
