ROCKLAND COUNTY BECOMES NATIONAL FOCAL POINT OF GOVERNMENT OVERREACH

“The step we’re taking now…has never been done as far as we know across the entire nation…”
These were the words of Rockland County Executive Ed Day during a March 26 press conference to announce that he had declared an ‘emergency declaration.’ The emergency, according to Rockland county’s website, was centered around their reporting of 153 cases of measles over a 6-month period at the time. Unvaccinated children are now barred from public places including restaurants, shopping centers, houses of worship and schools across Rockland county until the declaration expires in 30 days or until they receive “at least their first shot of MMR” according to Day.
At the press conference, Day was asked, “How can you enforce this? You mentioned there won’t be checks.” Day replied, “We are …bumping up the seriousness publicly through government regulation. And we are expecting families and parents to realize that it’s now against the law to do it[have unvaccinated children under 18 in public places]”
When asked what the penalty was for ‘offenders’, Day didn’t miss a beat saying, “It is listed as a class B misdemeanor which is six months in jail and/or a $500 fine.”
Despite the heavy-handed penalties, Day did admit of the declaration, “It’s an attention grabber, that’s no doubt about it. That’s what we’re doing.”
Professor Lawrence O. Gostin of Georgetown University, stated: “This is virtually imprisonment of a child, and certainly significantly restricting the child’s liberty.” He questioned whether the order is constitutional.
The New York Times reported “the authorities here in Rockland County have traced the spread of measles to ultra-Orthodox families whose children have not been vaccinated.” Rockland County, a collection of five towns just northwest of New York City with a combined population of more than 300,000 people, of which approximately 31 percent of the population is Jewish according to the state, and includes one of the largest concentrations of Orthodox Jews in the country.
Despite Day making the calm, “there is no religious exemption” during his press conference, state law says something different. New York currently does have a religious vaccine exemption. In fact, the state has an active bill, A2371, attempting to removing that exemption. Instead of facts, Day claimed during his press conference, “The fact that we got nearly 17,000 young people immunized in a largely Orthodox (Jewish) community tells us it is not a religious exemption.” For many in orthodox Jewish communities, their lives largely revolve around their honor, devotion and adherence to their religious beliefs. To say that a mandatory medical procedure containing fetal cell lines and chemical compositions, carrying unavoidable risks for a section of the population is not a religious consideration for some in the Orthodox Jewish community is insulting and untrue.
Day then attempted to tackle vaccine injury and risk by stating, “There’s risk in everything. Could there have been a child or a few children who have been compromised by a vaccination? Of course there could be. But there’s something called ‘The Greater Good’ here.”
It is doubtful that Day knows the MMR vaccine has serious risks. For example, the MMR vaccine causes seizures in about 1 in 640 children, five times the rate from measles, as well as “thrombocytopenic purpura,” “chronic arthritis,” and “brain damage.” It’s also questionable if Day understands that because the MMR was not licensed based on a placebo-controlled clinical trial and post-licensure studies are limited, there are many suspected harms the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has yet to confirm or rule out, such as those listed on Merck’s package insert for the MMR.
Day’s New York emergency declaration has come at a historical tipping point in America when a double amputation of liberties outlined in both the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are in a highly-protested process of removal. Government-sponsored, Big Tech-implemented censorship is in full swing disappearing any discussion, book or speech outside of limited, incomplete vaccine talking points approved by government agencies of highly questionable integrity. In addition, the American people are also facing a mountain of legislation increasing vaccine tracking systems, eliminating exemptions to entire vaccine schedules, lowering the age of consent as well ending parental consent to vaccination. New York alone has 13 active bills all aiming to get vaccine schedules into their population more efficiently. The bills include mandating both scientifically controversial HPV and flu vaccines, allowing forced vaccinating and medical treatments under certain circumstances, elimination of religious belief exemptions, allowing children 14 and older to be vaccinated without parental consent, and mandating reporting to a vaccine registry without consent. Of note, New York also has one active bill, S477, which aims to strengthen and expand existing medical exemptions to vaccination.
An unknown number of residents of Rockland are now unwilling participants living under a form of medical martial law. Many in America are keeping a close eye on how this story unfolds. Will other counties adopt this declaration? Will it be written into law for entire states?
