Here is another play on the subject of what is Statistically Significant similar to Del’s Whiskey Study”.
Set up two groups, with one Blow their brains out with a Gun! With the “Control Group” do nothing!
Following the metric of what is Statistically Significant, the “Control Group” will have ZERO fatalities! Therefore, “GUNS” must be “Presumed” to be safe! Since “Statisticians” are not allowed to use a “ZERO” outcome in their calculations!
NOTE: At one time the Math Department at Drexal Univ. could not find anyone who could PROVE why, when any number is raised to the power of ZERO, the outcome was always ONE!
Examples were NOT allowed.
What everyone missed is that when “Raising” a umber to any “Power”, one commonly uses Multiplication or Division! Therefore these two methods do not work well with “ZERO”.
What ALL computers do is to ONLY do Addition an Negative ADDITION (subtraction)!
Multiplication or Division are simply “Shorthand” ways to Do Addition and “Negative Addition”!
“Addition” LOVES working with “ZERO” as do computers!
Knowing THAT, the solution to the challenge was simple!
The same can be applied to “Statistical Analyses” but only is one does NOT want to “Design” a “Study: that is NOT “Designed to Fail” or otherwise “Designed to Shutdown Discussion” in order to hide the TRUTH and DANGERS!

Beaver Collage now known as Arcadia Collage (for what should be obvious reasons) once offered a position to teach “Programmers” what computers did with the “Code” that was written.
The course was to be called “Computer Literacy”!
The offer was withdrawn ass it was decided that “Programmers” did not need to know anything about the workings of computers and what was the result of the “Code” written by “Programmers”!
Back around 1969, one of the first “Cognitive Computers” (Now called “AI”) was designed in a loft in “Old City, Philadelphia”! It wasn’t until around 1982, that technology has advanced enough to allow a working prototype to be built and tested!
Up to that time, elements of that concept were used to make other working products.
Even today, “AI” is neanderthal in comparison to what was made back then!
Imagine the ability to “Crack” a “Bit Coin Cypher” in the time it would take to enter it!
Imagine the ability to ACQUIRE data faster than what has even been able to be done up to this time!
ALL of THAT was designed in 1969, in a LOFT located in “Old City, Philadelphia” and built in 1982!!

1. “Cognitive” means “Self-aware”
2. “AI” means SIMULATED “Intelligence” absent the ability to be “Self-aware”!
“AI” means “Garbage in, Garbage Out!”
“Cognitive” means “This is clearly Garbage” time to fix it!
THAT is how “Studies” are “Corrupted” and can never be trusted!!
