U.S. GOVERNMENT HEARINGS ON VACCINATION MISS MARK, LOST OPPORTUNITY FOR OPEN DEBATE

For anyone who was looking for discussion beyond limited talking points currently offered by corporate media and government regulatory bodies, the recent U.S. Senate Committee On Health, Education Labor & Pensions (HELP) hearing was not the place. With the notable exception of Senator Rand Paul’s points, the hearing was a missed opportunity to bridge the growing gap of a distrustful public’s need for deeper answers and open discussion surrounding inconvenient truths about vaccination.
Senator Lamar Alexander, Chairman of the HELP committee, presided over the recent Vaccine Save Lives hearing. Sen. Alexander has accepted $714,112 from the “pharmaceutical/health products” sector, which includes many vaccine manufacturers, according to OpenSecrets.org. The hearing’s title signaled to America that probing questions that may cast the vaccine industry and its products in an unfavorable light would most likely be omitted in favor of one-sided banter. In Sen. Alexander’s opening statements, he declared anyone who claims that vaccines are not safe were “internet fraudsters.” His opening statement went on:
“Here’s what I would like parents…everywhere in the country [to know]. Vaccines are approved by the Food and Drug Administration. They meet the Food and Drug Administration’s gold standard of safety.”
It appears that Senator Alexander was either unaware or purposely concealing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) recent legal admissions in which they conceded that “Clinical studies for TdaP and inactivated influenza vaccines did not specifically enroll pregnant women.” The FDA legal response went on to admit they “have no records responsive to your [plaintiff’s] request.” In short, the agency licensed the shots for use in pregnant women without the required scientific and clinical studies to ensure safety. The phrases “gold standard” and “vaccine safety testing” should not be appearing in the same sentence.
According to the data and admissions by the FDA and U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS), Sen. Alexander’s “gold standard of safety” is misinformation. Every pediatric vaccine that HHS promotes – except one – for routine injection into children involves clinical trials relied upon to assess safety prior to licensing that did not use a randomized, inert placebo-control group.
Throughout both the HELP hearing and last week’s Energy and Commerce committee hearing, the focus has been on stoping vaccine ‘misinformation.’ Putting aside the fact that the public admissions and testimony within both committees created misinformation by their untruthful and/or willfully ignorant statements. At best, the committees seemed to be chasing the ghost of a poorly defined concept of what ‘misinformation’ is. The inconsistencies and inconvenient truths surrounding vaccines and the regulatory agencies who have abdicated their duties to ensure constant improvements in safety are still present and growing.
What both hearings have signaled to the American people is that the insulting, catch-all buzzwords of ‘anti-vaxer’ and ‘misinformation’ are preferred over facing shortcomings. Listening to parents of vaccine-injured children, doing proper, long-term safety science, fixing a broken vaccine adverse event reporting system, and coming to terms with the current, unAmerican climate of federally-mandated medicine and government-sponsored suppression of open debate and the free exchange of ideas isn’t a priority.
How far have the ideals of the HELP committee slipped over the decades? The answer can be found in part of President John F. Kennedy’s 1962 speech, ironically from the very same HELP committee, extolling the bedrock of American principles stating:
“We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”
America has entered a dangerous climate of government-sponsored and directed censorship. Ironically, the overall takeaway message from both committees’ Orwellian-style solutions to ‘misinformation’ were increased funding to “do a better job at communicating” to the public while at the same time censoring information from the public. From individual journalists to media conglomerates, this new inverted world is seeing the very people, whose livelihoods used to rely upon the free flow of information, celebrating and gleefully working to censor it.
The opportunity existed at the HELP hearing to invite an American citizen to explain their experience with the broken Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), or an individual to share their journey from parent to full-time caregiver to their vaccine-injured child, or someone to explain their experience with the medical community’s lack of informed consent before vaccination. A representative of each one of the individuals listed above were undoubtedly present in the capacity crowd who had gathered in the hallways outside the HELP hearing committee. People who came from across the country, using their own funds, to be heard when their government had tried to figuratively and literally close the door and ignore them. There was also an opportunity to invite one of several international researchers who have contributed to a body of work spanning over a decade on the scientifically and biologically confirmed dangers of injected aluminum; of which American kids now receive 4,925 micrograms by their 18-month birthday if they are fully vaccinated by the CDC’s recommended schedule.
Instead, the HELP committee rolled out the red carpet to allow an 18-year old to testify on his experience with routine vaccinations. According to government-proclaimed talking points, vaccine uptake is nearing one hundred percent across the county. An American using their freewill choice and informed consent when deciding to get vaccinated is hardly an anomaly or an outlier to be studied in light of the several documented shortcomings of America’s vaccine program.
At this juncture, the censorship around inconvenient vaccine information is showing little signs of slowing. Meanwhile, at the alter of an unsensational amount of measles cases, states are racing to mandate all vaccines with 10th Amendment-violating bills following close behind. To these ends, the mandatory moves and public rhetoric by government officials runs counter to what Sen Rand Paul called “The American story.” Sen Paul continued by stating in the HELP committee, “Nor is force consistent with the liberty our forefathers sought when they came to America.” Seeming to echo a growing number of American’s, Sen. Paul concluded on the topic of government-mandated vaccination by saying, “I still do not favor giving up on liberty for a false sense of security.”
If nothing else, history has shown that increased censorship by force in America continually backfires and ultimately has the opposite effects.
